Instructions
- Combine cinnamon sticks, star anise pods, and maple syrup in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes until the syrup darkens and is fragrant.
- Carefully add water and return to a boil until the syrup dissolves, then let it cool.
- In a large pitcher, mix the spiced maple syrup with bitters, ginger beer, cranberry juice, lime juice, and salt.
- Stir until combined, then add ice and garnish with lime wheels, cranberries, and rosemary if desired.
