Easy Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 7-8 cups chicken broth or stock
  • 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Chicken Flavor
  • 1 each bay leaf
  • ½ teaspoon ground thyme
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 6-7 oz egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients except egg noodles to the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on High for 3-4 hours or Low for 7-8 hours.
  3. Remove the chicken and bay leaf, shred the chicken, and return it to the pot.
  4. Add the egg noodles and cook for an additional 10-20 minutes until softened.
