Lilac Simple Syrup

Instructions
- Prepare the lilac simple syrup by combining water and honey in a saucepan, bringing it to a low boil, then simmering for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat, add lilacs, cover, and steep for 5-10 minutes before straining.
- In a glass, add lemon wedges, blackberries, basil, and lilac syrup, then muddle to release juices.
- Fill the glass halfway with ice, add rum, and stir to combine.
- Top with more ice and sparkling water, then garnish with fresh basil.
