Ingredients

For the Meal Prep Smoothies Bags

  • 2 cups frozen sliced bananas
  • 2 cups frozen whole strawberries
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 4 teaspoons chia seeds

For Serving (for 1 serving)

  • 2 tablespoons vanilla protein powder
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out the sliced bananas and strawberries. Freeze for about 2 hours until completely frozen.
  2. Take quart-size freezer bags, label them with the date and recipe name, and add 1 cup of frozen fruit, a handful of spinach, and a teaspoon of chia seeds to each bag.
  3. Squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing the bags to prevent freezer burn. Place the bags in the freezer for later use.
  4. When ready to blend, pour the contents of one smoothie bag into a blender, add ½ cup of almond milk and 2 tablespoons of protein powder.
  5. Blend on high for about 1 minute until smooth. Serve immediately or enjoy later.
