Ingredients

Base

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup desiccated coconut
  • 125 g unsalted butter

Caramel Filling

  • 125 g unsalted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 395 g sweetened condensed milk

Chocolate Topping

  • 200 g dark or milk melting chocolate
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the baking pan.
  2. Mix the base ingredients and press into the pan.
  3. Bake the base until golden and cool it.
  4. Prepare the caramel by melting butter, sugar, and vanilla, then add condensed milk and whisk.
  5. Pour the caramel over the cooled base and bake again.
  6. Allow to cool and refrigerate to set.
  7. Melt the chocolate and oil together, then pour over the set caramel.
  8. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, then cut into bars.
