Ingredients

  • 500 g plain (all-purpose) flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla-flavoured sugar
  • 5-6 large beaten eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 750 ml milk
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 small glass rum, Cognac, Calvados or Grand Marnier
  • 40 g melted butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
  2. Add the beaten eggs and salt, and gradually stir in the milk and water.
  3. Incorporate the chosen alcohol and melted butter into the batter.
  4. Let the batter stand for 2 hours.
  5. Dilute the batter with a little water or milk before cooking.
