Ingredients

The strawberries

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries
  • 2 Tbsp sugar

The sweet biscuits

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

The vanilla whipped cream

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Rinse and slice the strawberries, then mix with sugar and set aside to create syrup.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400ºF and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
  4. Add heavy whipping cream to the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into eight rounds and place them on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While biscuits are baking, prepare the vanilla whipped cream by whisking heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  8. Once biscuits are cool, slice them in half and layer with strawberries, syrup, and whipped cream.
