Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 13 by 9-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, blend the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, pumpkin, and vanilla until well combined.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and level it out.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
- For the frosting, whip together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled cake, slice, and serve.
