Pesto Pasta

The pesto

Instructions
- 1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions.
- 2. While the pasta cooks, slice the red onion and cherry tomatoes.
- 3. Prepare the pesto in a blender if not already done.
- 4. Reserve ¼ cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
- 5. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the red onion until softened, then add the tomatoes.
- 6. Once the veggies are tender, add the drained pasta, pesto, and reserved cooking water.
- 7. Stir until everything is hot and evenly coated, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
