Ingredients

The rice

  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice

The sautéed spinach

  • ½ Tbsp cooking oil
  • 6 cups fresh spinach, loosely packed
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 pinch salt

The chili garlic beef

  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

Fresh vegetables

  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 green onions

Other toppers

  • 4 large eggs
  • ¼ cup kimchi
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the jasmine rice first if it is not already cooked.
  2. Sauté the spinach in a skillet with cooking oil until wilted, then add sesame oil and salt.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the ground beef until browned, then mix in chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
  4. Prepare the fresh vegetables by grating the carrot, slicing the cucumber, and slicing the green onions.
  5. Fry or soft boil the eggs as desired.
  6. Assemble the bowls by adding rice, spinach, beef, fresh vegetables, an egg, kimchi, green onions, and sesame seeds.
