Dumpling Ingredients

Instructions
- Heat 1 ½ teaspoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook the chicken until browned, then set aside.
- Add remaining oil and sauté onions, carrots, and leeks until softened.
- Stir in flour, then add wine, broth, milk, thyme, and bay leaf. Shred chicken and return it to the pot.
- Simmer the mixture for 30 minutes, then add tarragon, salt, and pepper.
- For the dumplings, mix the dry ingredients in one bowl and combine milk and melted butter in another.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then drop spoonfuls of the dumpling mixture into the stew.
- Cover and cook the dumplings on low heat for 15-18 minutes until they puff up.
