Instructions
- Boil the water and let it cool.
- Slice the lemons into circles and place them in a bowl.
- Layer the lemons in a jar, adding salt between each layer.
- Add the basil throughout the jar.
- Pour in the lemon juice and press down the layers.
- Add enough sterilized water to fill the jar.
- Seal the jar and let it sit at room temperature for 3 days.
- Transfer to the fridge for 2-3 weeks before using.
- Shake the jar occasionally to keep lemons submerged.
