Ingredients

Filling

  • ¾ pound ground pork
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 3 cups coleslaw mix
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 egg beaten

Wrappers and Frying

  • 12 pieces egg roll wrappers
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground pork, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in coleslaw mix and green onions, cooking until cabbage is wilted.
  5. Add soy sauce and sesame oil, then remove from heat.
  6. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of filling onto each egg roll wrapper and fold according to package directions, sealing with beaten egg.
  7. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350 degrees.
  8. Fry 3-4 egg rolls at a time until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
  9. Drain on paper towels and serve with dipping sauce.
