The Pizza Dough

yeast (1.5 tsp. or 1/8th oz.)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a pie plate.
- If using canned pizza dough, cut it into 24 equal squares; if using homemade, break off walnut-sized pieces and stretch each into a circle.
- Slice each tomato in half and sandwich a piece of cheese and a basil leaf between the halves.
- Wrap the dough around the tomato sandwich to form a ball, pinching the ends together.
- Place each ball seam-side down in the greased pie pan and brush with melted butter, sprinkling oregano on top.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until golden and serve immediately.
- To make the pizza dough, mix warm water and yeast, then add flour, salt, and seasonings, mixing until soft and elastic.
- Let the dough rise for one hour before using.
