Ingredients

The chicken

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

The teriyaki sauce

  • 1 cup homemade teriyaki sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp cold water

Optional toppings

  • green onions
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crock pot and cover with teriyaki sauce.
  2. Cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours.
  3. Remove chicken and shred it.
  4. Mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and add it to the sauce in the crock pot to thicken.
  5. Return shredded chicken to the crock pot and mix until coated.
  6. Serve with optional toppings.
