Ingredients

The pasta

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni or cellentani pasta

The dairy

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

The seasonings

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine pasta, heavy whipping cream, milk, butter, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker.
  2. Stir well to combine the ingredients.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top without stirring.
  4. Cover and cook on Low for 1 hour.
  5. Stir the mixture to combine and check the pasta's tenderness.
  6. Cover and cook for an additional 30-60 minutes on Low until pasta is soft and cheese is melted.
  7. Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
