Strawberry Squares

canned strawberry pie filling

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with baking spray.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and mix until thoroughly combined.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Score the dough into twenty-four 2-inch squares with a knife.
- Place a teaspoon of pie filling in the center of each scored square.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a cake tester comes out clean.
- Cool to room temperature and dust with confectioner's sugar before serving.
