The frosting

salted butter, softened

powdered sugar

half and half

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and butter a 13" x 9" baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In an electric mixer, whip together butter and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add the egg and egg white, then mix in sour cream, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Slowly add the dry mixture and stir until combined.
- Gently press the mixture into the buttered baking dish.
- Bake for 15-17 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely, then frost with the prepared vanilla frosting and cut into squares.
- To make the frosting, whip together butter, powdered sugar, and half and half until fluffy, then stir in vanilla and food coloring if desired.
