Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cream the butter and sugar together in an electric mixer until well combined.
- Mix in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Scoop the dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until slightly under-baked, rotating pans halfway through if baking multiple batches.
- Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
