Ingredients

The sushi roll

  • 2 sheets nori seaweed
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds

The fillings

  • 4 pieces prawns
  • ½ piece cucumber
  • ½ piece avocado

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fillings by cutting the cucumber and avocado into matchstick-sized pieces and cooking the prawns until they change color.
  2. Lay a sheet of cling wrap over a bamboo sushi mat.
  3. Place a sheet of nori on the cling wrap and spread sushi rice over two-thirds of the nori.
  4. Flip the nori and rice over, then spread mayonnaise in the center.
  5. Add the prawns, cucumber, and avocado on top of the mayonnaise.
  6. Roll the nori tightly using the bamboo mat, applying gentle pressure.
  7. Slice the roll with a sharp knife and serve with condiments.
