Ingredients

  • 3 cups Sushi Rice
  • 1 medium Cucumber, cut into even-sized sticks
  • 3 sheets Nori seaweed, cut in half
  • 1 small bowl Rice vinegar or water (for sealing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sushi rice and cut the cucumber into sticks.
  2. Lay down a half sheet of nori on the bamboo mat with the shiny side facing down.
  3. Spread approximately ½ cup of sushi rice evenly over two-thirds of the nori sheet, leaving an inch uncovered at one end.
  4. Layer cucumber strips across the middle section of the rice.
  5. Wet the far edge of the nori with vinegar or water.
  6. Begin rolling tightly from the edge closest to you, applying gentle pressure.
  7. Moisten the last inch of nori to seal the roll.
  8. Repeat the process for additional rolls.
  9. Slice each roll into bite-sized pieces with a sharp knife.
  10. Serve with condiments like wasabi, soy sauce, and sushi ginger.
