Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh sage, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh marjoram, minced
  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into cubes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté onion and celery until softened.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs and mix in chicken broth, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add herbs to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, then combine with the egg mixture.
  5. Toss in the bread cubes and mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for about 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until crispy.
