Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the onion and celery, sautéing until soft.
- In a bowl, beat the egg and whisk in the chicken broth, salt, and pepper.
- Add the fresh herbs to the skillet, cook briefly, then mix with the egg and broth mixture.
- Toss in the bread cubes and combine well, then transfer to the baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until crispy.
