Instructions
- Wash and rinse the lentils and set them aside.
- Press sauté mode on the Instant Pot and add the oil.
- Once hot, add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds, letting them crackle until fragrant.
- Add the chopped garlic and green chili, sautéing until the garlic turns golden brown.
- Mix in the chopped tomato and cook for a minute.
- Add salt and turmeric powder, cooking the mixture for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in the rinsed lentils and combine well.
- Add the water, mix, and close the lid of the Instant Pot.
- Cancel sauté mode, select manual, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, wait 6-7 minutes, then release the pressure.
- Adjust salt to taste and stir in garam masala, cilantro, and lemon juice.
