Simple Refrigerator Pickles

The brine

The vegetables

Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, vinegar, salt, and sugar, and bring to a boil until dissolved.
- Place sliced vegetables in glass jars.
- Pour the brine over the vegetables.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
