Ingredients

The pickles

  • 1 large cucumber, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4-5 sprigs fresh dill

The brine

  • ¾ cup water
  • cups white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Combine water and vinegar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn off the heat, add salt, and let it cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Place dill, garlic, and cucumber slices in a 1-quart jar.
  4. Pour the cooled liquid into the jar, seal it, and refrigerate for at least three days.
