Pasta with Creamy Pumpkin Sauce

The pasta
Instructions
- 1. Boil a large pot of water for the pasta.
- 2. Once boiling, add the pasta and cook until al dente, then drain.
- 3. While the pasta cooks, mince the garlic and sauté it in butter over medium-low heat until fragrant.
- 4. Add the pumpkin purée and chicken broth to the skillet and mix well.
- 5. Stir in the nutmeg, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper, then let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 6. Once the pasta is done, stir in the half & half or cream into the sauce and season with salt if needed.
- 7. Combine the drained pasta with the sauce and serve.
