Pasta with Creamy Pumpkin Sauce

The pasta
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of water for the pasta.
- Once boiling, add the pasta and cook until al dente, then drain.
- While waiting for the water to boil, mince the garlic and sauté it in butter over medium-low heat until soft.
- Add the pumpkin purée and chicken broth to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Add nutmeg, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper to the sauce and let it simmer while the pasta cooks.
- Once the pasta is drained, stir in half & half or cream into the sauce.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
