Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare a baking sheet.
- Mix the cake mix, butter, and eggs to form a thick dough.
- Roll out the dough and cut into small rounds.
- Bake the rounds until firm and let them cool.
- Melt the chocolate chips with shortening in a double boiler.
- Stir in the peppermint extract.
- Dip the cooled cookies in the chocolate mixture.
- Place the dipped cookies on a cooling rack to set.
