Chipotle Grapefruit Margaritas

For the simple syrup

granulated sugar

Instructions
- Make the simple syrup by boiling sugar and water until sugar dissolves, then cool completely.
- For a salt rim, rub a grapefruit or lime slice around the glass rim and dip in kosher salt.
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle grapefruit slices with chipotle juice and lime juice.
- Add tequila, triple sec, and simple syrup to the shaker, then fill with ice.
- Shake thoroughly for 1 minute and strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with a grapefruit slice and enjoy immediately.
