Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a large pot until crisp, then remove and reserve.
- Add onions and butter to the pot and cook until softened.
- Stir in flour and turmeric, cooking for a minute.
- Add chicken broth, potatoes, and salt, bringing to a boil before reducing heat and simmering until potatoes are tender.
- Stir in corn, half-and-half, cheese, and bacon, cooking until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with chives if desired.
