Ingredients

The pasta

  • 1 pound DeLallo Whole Wheat Pasta
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

The sauce

  • 1 cup basil pesto
  • ½ cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes

The protein

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts

Seasoning

  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then sear in the pan for 5 minutes on one side.
  3. Flip the chicken and sear for an additional 5 to 6 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken and let it cool before chopping into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Boil the pasta until al dente, about 8 minutes, then drain and return to the pot.
  6. Stir in the pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and chopped chicken, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm or cold.
