Instructions
- Sauté onion in oil for 3 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic and chorizo, sauté for 5 minutes.
- Mix in lentils, carrots, tomatoes, jalapeño, salt, ancho powder, oregano, smoked paprika, and cumin.
- Add broth, molasses, and cinnamon sticks; bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add green pepper and simmer for an additional 15 minutes.
