Instructions
- Sauté the onion, carrots, and celery in olive oil or broth until translucent.
- Add garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper, and sausage (if using) and sauté briefly.
- Stir in the beans with their liquid, tomatoes, and broth, then bring to a simmer.
- Lower the heat, add the pasta, and cook while checking for doneness.
- Serve with optional toppings.
