Ingredients

The fish and sauce

  • ½ lb sole fish fillet
  • 2 tablespoons Lee Kum Kee Garlic Black Bean Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons water

The vegetables

  • 5 slices fresh ginger
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small green bell pepper
  • 5 dried red chilies
  • 2 stalks scallions

The cooking oil

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the wok and add cooking oil.
  2. Stir-fry sliced ginger, onions, bell peppers, and dried red chilies until aromatic.
  3. Add the fish to the wok and stir quickly.
  4. Incorporate black bean sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and sesame oil, stirring until the fish is cooked.
  5. Pour in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce, then add chopped scallions and stir to combine.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
