Ingredients

The stir fry

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ¾ pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 teaspoons garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 packages yakisoba noodles
  • ¼ cup green onions

The sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a bowl until combined.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken and keep warm.
  5. Add remaining oil to the pan and cook the bell pepper, carrots, and cabbage until tender.
  6. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 30 seconds.
  7. Return the chicken to the pan and add the yakisoba noodles, stirring to combine.
  8. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss everything together.
  9. Sprinkle green onions on top and serve immediately.
