Apple Cider Rooibos Hot Toddy

sweetener (coconut sugar or maple syrup, optional)
Instructions
- Combine apple juice, water, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, fresh ginger, ground ginger, salt, and pepper in a saucepan and heat until simmering.
- Turn off the heat and add the rooibos tea bags, steeping for 10-12 minutes.
- Taste and adjust flavors, adding cayenne and/or bourbon if desired, and sweeten if necessary.
- Remove the tea bags and pour the mixture into serving glasses, adding additional lemon slices if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
