Whole Wheat Blueberry Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white whole-wheat flour
  • tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 heaping cup blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and ¼ cup of sugar.
  3. Stir in the milk until the dough starts to come together, then add the blueberries and mix gently.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead briefly to combine.
  5. Pat the dough into an 8-inch circle.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with the remaining sugar.
  7. Cut the dough into 8 wedges and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
