Baked Pasta Casserole
Ingredients
The pasta

short whole grain pasta
The filling

ricotta cheese

The sauce

marinara sauce or sauce of choice
The topping

grated cheese (e.g. mozzarella, parmesan)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ricotta and the egg.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain it.
- Add the cooked pasta to the ricotta mixture and stir to combine.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce in a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
- Layer the pasta mixture on top of the sauce.
- Pour the remaining sauce over the pasta and sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
- Serve immediately.
