belacan, broken into small bits

Instructions
- Pound the sambal ingredients in a mortar and pestle or blend them in a food processor until smooth.
- Heat oil in a wok over medium heat until hot.
- Add the sambal paste to the wok and stir-fry for a few minutes until the oil separates from the paste.
- Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl. Let it cool before storing in an airtight container.
