Ingredients

Buffalo Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 3 Tbsp hot sauce
  • tsp smoked paprika
  • tsp garlic powder
  • tsp salt

Fried Tempeh

  • 8 oz tempeh
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil

Ranch Slaw

  • 8 oz coleslaw mix
  • ¼ cup ranch dressing

Sandwiches

  • 2 large hoagie rolls
  • 1 each avocado

Instructions

  1. Prepare the buffalo sauce by whisking together melted butter, hot sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine coleslaw mix and ranch dressing, stirring to coat, then refrigerate.
  3. Slice tempeh into ¼-inch thick slices and fry in a skillet with cooking oil until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Transfer fried tempeh to a bowl, reheat buffalo sauce, and pour it over the tempeh, stirring to coat.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches by placing ranch slaw on the hoagie rolls, followed by buffalo tempeh and sliced avocado.
