Garlicky Chard Pasta

chard (chopped, stems separated)

bread (crumbled and torn)

garlic (sliced, optional)

Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions, saving 1 cup of pasta water after draining.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic and shallot until golden.
- Add chard stems and sauté for a couple of minutes, then add the rest of the chard until wilted.
- In another skillet, heat oil and sauté sliced garlic until crispy, then toast the bread crumbs until golden.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the wilted chard, lemon zest, salt, and pepper, adding pasta water as needed.
- Serve in bowls, topped with garlic chips, toasted bread crumbs, and optional toppings.
