Garlic Parmesan Pasta

The sauce

unsalted butter

parmesan cheese

Instructions
- 1. Bring 10 cups of water to a boil in a large pot and season with salt.
- 2. Cook the spaghetti until al dente according to package directions.
- 3. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
- 4. Return the empty pot to medium-low heat and melt the butter.
- 5. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 6. Remove from heat, add the drained pasta to the pot with the butter mixture, and pour in ½ cup of hot pasta water, tossing to combine.
- 7. Sprinkle in the parmesan cheese and toss until melted, adding more reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
- 8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
