Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta

Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
- Pat the chicken dry and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Refrigerate or proceed immediately.
- Heat a skillet to medium-high, add oil, and cook the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove and dice.
- Lower heat to medium, melt butter in the pan, add garlic, and stir for 30 seconds. Whisk in flour for 2 minutes.
- Pour in half and half, whisk, then add cream cheese and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until smooth.
- Stir in ½ cup reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, add parmesan, and cook for 3 minutes, adding more pasta water as needed.
- Add chicken and cooked pasta to the pan. Garnish with extra parmesan and parsley, then serve warm.
