The chicken
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in a mixture of 3 tablespoons sake and 1 teaspoon soy sauce for 20 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine the remaining sake, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar, and heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in ginger.
- Drain the chicken and coat it with cornstarch before cooking.
- Cook the chicken in a skillet until done, then serve over rice with the sauce and slaw.
