Hot Toddy with Spiced Rum

Instructions
- Combine pineapple juice, water, honey, ginger ale, and alcohol in a pot and simmer for 2 minutes until honey dissolves.
- Add cinnamon sticks and remaining spices, then simmer for another 5 minutes.
- If using, mix in cream, butter, or vanilla extract and heat until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with star anise, orange slices, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
