Creamy Chicken Gnocchi Soup with Kale

Instructions
- Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in olive oil until soft.
- Add sliced carrots and continue to sauté until they begin to soften.
- Prepare the kale by removing stems and slicing leaves, then rinse and add to the pot until wilted.
- Chop or shred the chicken and add it along with broth, nutmeg, basil, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and then add the gnocchi, simmering until tender.
- Turn off the heat and stir in half and half or cream if desired, adjusting seasoning as needed.
