Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • ¼ cup toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • a pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toast the sesame seeds in a skillet over medium-low heat until golden, if using.
  2. Combine sesame oil, tamari, lime juice, ginger, garlic, mustard, and optional red pepper flakes and sesame seeds in a bowl.
  3. Whisk the mixture until well blended and adjust seasoning if needed.
  4. Let the dressing sit for at least 20 minutes for better flavor, then store in the refrigerator.
