Ingredients

The sauce

  • 1 recipe Teriyaki sauce

The vegetables

  • 1 head Broccoli (chopped into florets; ~3 cups)
  • 2 medium Carrots (shredded; ~1 cup)
  • 1 medium Green onion (sliced)

The protein

  • 24 oz Boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)

The garnishes

  • 2 tsp Sesame seeds

The base

  • 2 cups Cooked rice (with salt and pepper added to taste)

The cooking oil

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the teriyaki sauce if making homemade.
  2. Steam the broccoli in a saucepan with a steamer basket until fork tender.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet or wok, and sear the chicken pieces until browned and cooked through.
  4. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken and toss to coat, simmering to thicken if desired.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions over the chicken.
  6. Assemble the bowls with rice, broccoli, carrots, and teriyaki chicken.
