Instructions
- Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl, add chicken thighs, coat well, and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Remove chicken from marinade and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Melt butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat, add sliced onions, and sauté until soft and browned.
- Make a well in the center, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato sauce, heavy cream, garam masala, cumin, ground ginger, chili powder, and salt; adjust salt to taste.
- Add chicken pieces to the pan, nestle them in the sauce, cover with sauce, and bring to a simmer.
- Simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens.
